Hani Eskandari

Hani Eskandari has started learning traditional Persian music in 1998.
He learned the classical style of playing the santoor (style of Habib Somaee) and
the traditional Persian music (Radif) under Manouchehr Rezaei and Master
Majid Kiani.
After moving to Canada in 2003 and residing in Vancouver, he started learning vocals and Persian vocal Radif with Master Parviz Nezakati. With the training he received from his teachers, he has delved into various interpretations of instrumental and vocal Radif and educated himself further to gain a better understanding of Persian music. He has had several santoor performances in Vancouver and performed as the lead singer for UBC Persian Music Ensemble in their concerts. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in electrical engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran and a Ph.D. in the same field from the University of British Columbia. |
