Ali Narimani
(Santoor player)
Ali Narimani started to play the santour at the age of 8 but he gave up at around 9.
He was about 10 years old when he met a santour player in a wedding ceremony and started to
play Santour again for around 1 year when he (or maybe his parents) just realized that he
is not learning so much this way. Ali started to learn this instrument academicly under
the supervision of Master Rezai-Nezhad for about ten years ago and kept learning till he moved to
Canada in 2009.
He has a BSc degree in Physics and a BSc in mechanical engineering from Isfahan University of Technology(IUT). He has moved to UBC as a master student in Astronomy after finishing his masters in mechanical engineering in IUT. |
